Specify projective question set

Estimated reading: 2 minutes

Here we show you how to determine a projective question set.

Data structure of projective question sets

Before you start, make sure that your projective question sets are available in the required data structure.
  • Each projection of a response option needs its own column.
  • Column labels can be freely defined, but no duplicates may be included.
Aufbau - Datenstruktur von projektiven Fragesets
    • Q2 = Basic question
    • PQ2_1 = Projection for response option 1
    • PQ2_2 = Projection for response option 2
    • PQ2_3 = Projection for response option 3
    • PQ2_4 = Projection for response option 4
    • PQ2_5 = Projection for response option 5
  • The projections must equal 100% in total, to calculate a valid score.
    (e.g. A1: 70% / A2: 10% / A3: 20% are 100%)
  • For a valid score, at least 1 projective item must be answered.

Die folgenden 5 Schritte zeigen Ihnen, wie sie ein projektives Fragenset festlegen können:

1. Determine data

Determine the data by selecting »Projective-Question-set - PS, CS, SDS, IS«.

Daten bestimmen - Projektives Frageset bestimmen - Redem

2. Select column

Select that column containing the base question of the projective question set.

Click on »Continue« to get to the next step.

3. Linking answer options with projection columns

  • All response variables are now read from the specified column and displayed.
  • Link the variables with the projective columns by selecting these from your data file (e.g. link A1 with projection for A1).

  • If no projection is available for a variable (e.g. „Do not know“ oder no answer), you can ignore it.
  • If an answer option with a projective specification has not received any results, select it by clicking on the button »add another answer option«.

4. Select quality checks

After clicking on the button »Continue«, select as a last step the desired quality criteria to be used for the analysis of the projective question set.

Information on the different quality checks that can be performed with projective question sets can be found in the following articles:

  • Recognise superficiality
  • Rate Answer Certainty
  • Measure information level
  • Measuring social desirability

5. Save

After selecting the desired quality criteria, complete the process by clicking »Save«.
