Grid-Questions / Matrix-Questions determination

In this article, we will show you how to determine a grid-question or matrix question and use it for the quality check.

1. Determine data

Determine the data by selecting »Grid-Question-Score – GQS«.

2. Select column for start and end

Select the columns where the item battery starts and ends.
You can use the drop-down menu to search for the columns.
The system can process both numerical and categorical values.
Please note that in order to use an item battery or matrix question for the quality check, at least 7 items are required.

3. Determine further grid-questions

In case there are more grid columns,you can determine these each with »Start« und »End«. Each "combination of start and end" represents one grid.

4. Enable or disable pattern check

Pattern checking is disabled by default when uploading the file, but can be enabled if required. It recognizes respondents who have an abnormal answer pattern. Please only activate it if the items in the grid question are not randomized.

5. Save

Complete this step by clicking »Save«.
