Upload data - step by step guide

Here we show you what you need to consider when uploading your data.

Upload step 1

1. Name data file

Enter any desired name for your data file (maximum 100 characters).

2. Select File and Sheet Name

Choose an Excel file from your computer and select the sheet which contains the respondent data

3. Column Headers and First Data Record

Depending on your data structure, you must determine in which row the column headings and the first data records are located.
Important: Make sure, that there are no empty cells or duplicates in the column headers!

4. Ungültige / Fehlende Werte angeben

In case your data file contains any invalid / missing values, you can determine these here.
All specified characters / codes are not taken into account. The associated data points are not included in the quality calculations.

Upload step 2

Specify data points and columns

In the second step, you determine the data points and columns in your data file that are relevant for the ReDem® quality criteria.
To specify a new data point, click on the large green button »Specify new data point«.

Please note that before a new data point can be specified, the previous data point must be fully specified.

Specify the type of data.

Afterwards select the column containing the data you want to use for quality check.
- All columns of your data file are displayed in a drop-down menu. Columns that have already been selected are no longer displayed.
- You can also search for the name of the desired column by entering the name in the search field.

By clicking the yellow »Edit Icon« you can edit the specifications of the data point.

When you are in edit mode, you can click on the red »Delete Icon« to delete the specifications.

Once you have defined all the necessary columns in your data file, click on the button »Next Step«.

Summary and confirmation of the inputs

In the last step, you will receive a summary of all the entries. Please check this information carefully!

You can return to step 2 and step 1 at any time to change your details.
Confirm your entries by clicking on the »Confirm and redeem Credits« below.
